My passion for life comes from my love for my Jesus, my family, and having the opportunity to meet and minister to women.  I am in this ministry thing for the long haul.  I mean, I am 100% in love with sharing truth to women of all ages about the love that our incredible creator has for them.  I love seeing women’s eyes pop when they hear some dumb thing I’ve done as a mom or as a wife, and sharing the tough things that I’ve been through, because women start to understand that they aren’t alone in their feelings, their struggles, and in their needs.  Every single one of us was created to be loved; by God, by family, and by friends.  We were created to be in relationship with Jesus, to be in relationship with each other, and then to witness this relationship and love to every person we possibly can.  We were created to hunger for truth and justice and harmony.  The only way we can receive and give these things is to know the Truth; and the only Truth is the Word of God.  John 1:1-5 says that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

To understand these 5 verses means that you believe that God has a great plan for all of us that has not changed since the beginning, that God is all powerful, all knowing, that His Son Jesus saves us and lights up even our very darkest of times.  The only way to know good and light, and life is to know God, the creator of all.  How precious are these verses.  How hard is it for us to fully ingrain the truth of these verses into our hearts and lives.  I mean: absolute, cement hard, steel strong, belief.  Understanding the difference between feelings and belief has changed my life.  There are many a days where I don’t feel faithful, or calm, or confident that I’m loved and given grace.  BUT, I KNOW that I know that I know because I believe it, that it’s true.  Knowing the truth and feeling the truth aren’t always one in the same.  We are emotional human beings, and our feelings on any given day might not be representative of what the truth is.  Always choose truth over your feelings.  Truth comes from the word of God, and “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

I am blessed that I have the opportunity to freely study this Word, this truth, whenever I choose.  Many don’t have that freedom.  I learned a long time ago that before I can share about Jesus with someone that their basic needs have to be met.  If someone is physically or emotionally hurting, or hungry or in grave distress, they cannot “hear” the truth.  God gives us the job to feed and take care of the hurting.  Sharing the truth is the absolute most important, but a person has to be in a position to be able to hear it.

James 2:14-17 asks us, “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has not deeds?  Can such faith save them?  Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”  This whole chapter speaks such truth to my heart, and was a catalyst for us to choose a charity we greatly believe in when we created our ministry.  There is nothing more precious to me than my babies and step, and the thought of them hurting in the way that so many of our God’s children are being hurt today breaks my heart.  Everyone needs Jesus, and everyone needs and deserves safety and right treatment.  We choose to support the Thorn charity, with $1 of every ticket purchased to our sponsored events going to them.  Thorn “partners with nonprofits and academic institutions to gather new insights into the role technology plays in child sex trafficking, the creation and proliferation of child pornography, and the normalization of child sexual exploitation. We create and support tech initiatives that disrupt predatory behavior and work to make the internet a more hostile environment for those who seek to exploit children, recruiting the brightest minds in technology to solve specific problems.”

A child, a hurting person needs safety so they have the opportunity to hear Truth, to feel the love of Jesus.  We are Jesus’ hands and feet.  We are told to care for our brothers and sisters.  To date, we are beyond excited to share that we have been able to give $1,200 since our first event on May 4, 2017 to this charity.  Thank you to all of you who have come to our events.  Not only do we gather together to connect, refresh, and nourish our own souls as Sisters in Christ, but through your ticket purchase you are helping children in grave need.  Our goal is to reach total giving by next May 4th to be $2500.  I cannot wait to report that this number is over $10,000 in the very near future!
